1. Do nothing to prevent other players from enjoying the game. This includes harassment, random invites, solicitation, unwarranted friend requests or other behavior that inhibits another player's enjoyment.

2. Do not try to sell items in fleet chat. It is ok, however, to ask if other players have an item available. If someone makes such a request, you should PM them to work out the details.

3. There will be a 30 day probationary period for all fleet members. Within this 30 day period, if you do not become an active contributor to the fleet, you will be removed from the fleet. This rule ensures that everyone is gaining full benefit from the fleet by earning fleet credits, and that the fleet continues to advance.

4. Bank deposits should be limited to Rare or Very Rare items. This does not apply to commodities, lock boxes or devices, although we may choose to restrict these types of deposits as well according to bank space availability. If an ad-hoc restriction is in-place, it will be reflected in the fleet message of the day. These policies help us ensure that bank space remains available to fleet members.

5. You must remain active to remain in the fleet. An Ensign is required to login at least once every 30 days. If you have been offline for more than 30 days, you will be removed from the fleet. The number of days changes with promotions you may receive. You can view the activity requirements in the Promotions section below.

6. Star Trek Online maintains filters for profanity. While these work well for words, they don't work for content and intent. We maintain that our players have a right to chat in a manner that is viewed as generally acceptable by all members participating in the chat session. If one member has an issue with the content, while others do not, no action will be taken.

What is the fleet window and how do I get to it?

The fleet window is your primary interface with the fleet. It contains various tabs relevant to the fleet, including: Holdings, News, Events, Roster, Information and Uniforms. To open the fleet window, press CTRL+G in-game, or you can click the button directly to the left of the drop-down arrow underneath your mini-map.

Where exactly is the fleet?

You will primarily interact with the fleet through fleet chat and the fleet window (CTRL+G), but we do have several holdings that can be visited. These holdings contain stores, access to banks, etc.

Where is the fleet bank?

The fleet bank is a universal storage facility for inventory items and credits that is accessible by all members of your fleet who have the proper permissions. Fleet banks are universal; items and Energy Credits placed into any fleet bank will appear in all fleet banks throughout the galaxy and are available for retrieval no matter which fleet bank is visited. Tabs are labeled according to intended deposits and withdrawal limits are raised with each fleet rank gained.

Fleet banks are a part of the normal bank terminal and can be accessed anywhere one is found, except for ship and shuttle terminals that only allow access to the account bank.

How do I get promoted in the fleet?

You are promoted based on the number of fleet credits you have earned. You can learn more about fleet credits in the section below, or you can see a list of the promotion requirements for and benefits of each rank above.

How do I contribute to the fleet? How do I earn fleet credits?

You earn fleet credits by contributing to fleet projects. We use the number of fleet credits you've earned to gauge your promotions, but they are yours to keep. You can use them to buy items from fleet stores. To contribute to fleet projects, open the fleet window (CTRL+G) and click the Holdings tab.

You can contribute to any of the fleet holdings. You'll see where you can select them on the left-hand side (Dilithium Mine, Embassy or Starbase). When you click on a holding, you'll see the projects currently active on the right. If a project is currently being completed, there will be a count-down timer. As soon as the timer runs out, another project will appear in its place.

You must have the items required to contribute to these. For the requirements that you have matching items for, there will be a highlighted Contribute button underneath them. If no more of an item is needed, this area will read "Filled" instead. You can try to obtain these items and return to the fleet window. Fleet Marks and Dilithium earn the most fleet credits. You earn 1 fleet credit for every piece of dilithium contributed. You earn 50 fleet credits for every fleet mark contributed.

How does the fleet level?

The fleet levels in much the same way that characters do through the reputation system. As members make contributions to standard holdings projects, the relevant category within that holding gains experience points. As certain milestones are reached, upgrade projects become available. Upgrade projects can add certain functionality to the holding (i.e., transwarp conduit, additional stores) or they can raise the tier of a particular category or the entire holding. For instance, when the Military Shipyard for the Starbase reaches 10,000 experience points, a new upgrade project becomes available. This project will raise the Military Shipyard from Tier 0 to Tier I. Once the project is complete, the Starbase itself earns a certain amount of experience points. In-turn, once that number has reached a certain threshold, an upgrade project for the Starbase will become available that will raise it to Tier I. There are 5 Starbase Tiers, 3 Embassy, 3 Dilithium Mine and 3 Spire.

Do we have a uniform?

Yes we do. In Star Trek Online, fleets can also create their own specific emblems and uniforms. These can be previewed in the "Uniform" section of the main fleet window. Members can then visit a tailor and activate their "Fleet uniform" slot. The uniform may then be chosen as a pre-made costume option, whereas the emblem can be displayed as a shoulder patch on a member's character and as a painting on his or her ship.

What is the fleet store and where is it?

Within each fleet holding, there is a set of officers and/or consoles that can provide access to the fleet store. There are different officers or consoles for different types of items. Not all items can be accessed from any one holding, instead you will need to visit the appropriate holding for the type of item you are needing to purchase. For instance, you will need to travel to the Dilithium Mine to purchase warp or singularity cores. These stores are either granted or constructed once certain fleet projects are completed or milestones reached. You can purchase almost any category of item found in-game and most items can be purchased at advanced or elite grades. These grades higher than very rare. They are most often purchased with a combination of fleet credits and dilithium. Within The House of Morn and The Disciples of Morn fleets, permission to purchase from stores is granted once a member reaches 50,000 fleet credits earned.

How do I know when an event is coming up?

You can check the fleet window's Events tab (CTRL+G, then Events) for a full list of upcoming events.

How do I chat with the fleet?

If you do not have a chat window visible on your screen, look for a very small icon that says 'Chat' and click it. If you don't see that anywhere on the screen, press the ESC key, then click Rearrange HUD. You'll see a chat box here, with a 'Show' button. Click that. Now press ESC again to return to your regular screen. You should now see the chat box.

Once you have the chat box on the screen, or already had it visible, look at the area where you enter text. To the left of it, you will see some text encased in brackets. This will usually be set to [Local], [Zone] or [Team]. Click the text. A drop-down menu will appear. Choose [Fleet] from the list. This will allow you to speak to the fleet. If you don't see this as an option, type "/fleet", without quotations, into your chat box. This should do the same thing.

If you aren't seeing fleet chat within your chat window, right-click the tab at the top of the chat window. It will usually read "Chat". Once this is open, you will have a set of check-boxes on the right-hand side. You will see "Fleet" in this list. Make sure it is checked and then click close the options window.

Can Klingon and Federation fleet members chat with each other?

We operate a chat channel that serves this purpose. It's called the Klingon-Federation Subspace Bridge.

Do we have a voice chat server?

We operate a Discord server. Please contact a Fleet General in-game for more details.

Can my Klingon/Federation character join the fleet?

Star Trek Online fleets can be either Federation or Klingon Defense Force, but cannot contain members from both. The House of Morn is a Klingon Defense Force fleet. We have however started a Federation fleet called "The Disciples of Morn." Speak to a Fleet General in fleet chat to get invited.

What about Romulans?

Romulans choose their allegiance at level 10, so you can join The House of Morn if you have allied your Romulan with the Klingon Defense Force. Federation Romulans will be able to join our Federation fleet, "The Disciples of Morn."

Can my alternate characters join the fleet?

Definitely! Just ask a Fleet or Lieutenant General in fleet chat to invite your alternate.

What is the maximum size of the fleet?

The maximum limit is 500 members.

What is our recruiting policy?

We have an open recruiting policy. We are willing to accept any member, as long as they have not been otherwise banned from the fleet for behavior. We allow all of our members to invite others, giving everyone access to bring friends into the fleet.

Outside of standard member invitations, the fleet generals engage in recruiting at various periods. While we usually try to maintain the maximum roster size, we will sometimes allow attrition to take hold and work with a minimal roster. This is usually done when fleet milestones are about to be reached that will make new recruits happier with the services available upon joining.

Fleet Quick-Start Guide

Armada

The Journey Begins...

On star date 93178.35 (July 30th, 2015), our fleet banded together with the Armada of the 44th Fleet. The Armada system allows fleets to join forces to allow for unprecedented teaming possibilities, mutual project completion and skill point and dilithium bonuses for Armada members.

Who are the 44th?

The 44th Fleet is a Federation fleet that has been operating since 2010. They are the Alpha fleet and the founders of the Armada. Their Klingon Defense Force fleet, the 44th Assault Squadron, is the lead of the Klingon Defense Force Armada.

Open Mighty 44th Home

Are you a fleet owner interested in joining the armada?

The 44th Fleet Federation Armada is currently full; however, there are three openings in the 44th Assault Squadron Klingon Armada. While The House of Morn is not the Alpha fleet, we are in a Beta position within both fleets and have the ability to invite others. If you'd like more information about the Armada, click here. If you like what you see, and feel our fleets would be a good fit, click here to request an invite.

Where is it?

The starting point for all-things Armada is the Armada tab within the Fleet Window (CTRL+G).

How Do We Communicate?

You can communicate with the Armada through the Armada chat channel. To begin chatting in the channel, click the bracketed channel name on the left-hand side of your chat text box. It will be labeled with your current channel, usually [Local], [Zone], or [Fleet]. After clicking the current channel name, you'll receive a pop-up listing all available chat channels. Simply choose "Armada" and begin chatting.

Subspace have you down? Yearn for the days when you had to time to relax between messages? Hop into the Armada's forum page on The Mighty 44th's site.

How Do We Get To Know Our Fellow Fleets?

After browsing to the Armada tab within the Fleet Window, you'll see the list of fleets on the left-hand side. They are organized by their position within the Armada: Alpha, Beta or Gamma. The position within the Armada determines what types of bonuses that fleet receives. Clicking any of the fleets reveals another menu to the right, containing Overview, Roster and Holdings tabs.

The Overview tab shows basic fleet information, including the date the fleet was founded, total members, fleet level and what types of bonuses the fleet is currently receiving.

The Roster tab shows the member roster for the selected fleet. The layout is roughly the same as the Fleet Roster tab, although what you will be able to view for members of other fleets will be limited in comparison. Seeing another fleet's roster can be useful when determining how many people may be online and available for team-play, or just to check to see if any of our new-found allies are online.

How Can We Help Each Other?

Fleets can help each other in numerous ways within the Armada. At this point in the Armada system's evolution, the chat channel will be the launching point for most of them. The ways we can aid or seek help from each other here can include asking or answering questions for members of other fleets, participating in group events, teaming for PvE or PvP matches or helping each other with missions. Fleets may also choose to invite members from other fleets to their own holdings so they can purchase items that their fleet may not have access to (this service usually needs to be offered by a high-ranking officer).

As with most things in the Armada, the Holdings tab is similar in form and function to its fleet counterpart. Under this tab, you can see projects that other fleets are allowing incoming contributions for and contribute to them. Just as with the primary fleet's holdings, you'll earn fleet credits for contributing to others' projects. This mechanism can be extremely helpful when a member needs fleet credits, but doesn't have the necessary items to earn them, or all projects are filled, within their own fleet.

Each fleet's senior management is allowed to decide which projects can be contributed to by other fleets and which ones cannot. One reason a fleet may restrict contributions is to provide their members with an opportunity to earn credits from a particular project before opening it the Armada.
